We are seeking a professional and driven Human Resources Manager to work under the direction and supervision of the Superintendent of Business Services and Human Resources. This position is responsible for the coordination and administration of all human resources and customer service functions within the Streamwood Park District. The Human Resources Manager manages the planning, development, implementation and administration of the district's compensation, benefits, employee relations and training functions. They are responsible for coordinating recruitment, worker's compensation and customer service efforts. The HR Manager is responsible for compliance with all federal, state and local legislation, and maintains employment records. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and recommending employment guidelines, district policies and procedures, organizational functions, job responsibilities, and policy and administrative changes, with the goal of bettering the district. This position is an at-will position.
Candidate must have an Associate’s degree in the related field or an Associate’s degree with related experience.
Preference given to candidate with an undergraduate degree in Personnel Administration, Human Resources, or Organizational Management, or
Preference given to a candidate with an undergraduate degree in any field with a Master's in Human Resources, Organizational Management, or closely related field, or
Preference given to a candidate with an undergraduate degree in any field with an HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP).
Candidate must have extensive knowledge and must have three to five (3-5) years’ experience as a human resources administrator/generalist/manager demonstrating multi-level management experience in the public or private agency.
Candidate must have outstanding verbal, written, organizational and human relations skills.
Candidate must have outstanding political sensitivity in the organization and management of a public or private agency.
Candidate must have a basic understanding of budgeting and finance skills.
