Specializes in landscaping and grounds work by performing a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled landscaping and grounds related duties in the development, maintenance and repair of landscaped areas at public parks, public buildings, streetscapes, athletic fields and related facilities; and to operate a wide variety of Parks landscape related equipment. The individual in this position works independently and receives general supervision from the Manager and/or Landscape Technician, and occasionally leads small groups of seasonal and/or volunteer workers.
Minimum 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid Class B Missouri Driver License, reliable transportation, and a good driving record required. Must be able to obtain a Class B License within 120 days of employment
Pesticide Applicator's License required within twelve months of employment.
Previous experience in landscaping, horticulture, native plant care, forestry or a closely related field is preferred
Completion of coursework related to plant/turf care, bed design, horticulture or related experience preferred
First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
