This position coordinates all recreation programs provided by the Town; plans, promotes and implements a variety of activities for various ages and interests; coordinates and oversees the specific details for program implementation including site selection, supplies, equipment, staffing, and other logistics; includes appropriate personnel during the review and evaluation of programs and seeks partners to assist in the delivery of leisure activities sponsored by the Town. Works in coordination with the Parks and Facilities Manager, Parks Foreman, Special Event and Volunteer Coordinator, Administrative Specialist and others.
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Recreation, Physical Education, Public Administration, Education or related field.
Three years of experience in public sector recreation program planning and delivery or similar experience in a private or non-profit setting, plus one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP)
Municipal government experience.
Valid Driver’s License required. Arizona Driver’s License within ten days of hire.
Must be able to pass a thorough background investigation including fingerprints.
