This position provides key supervision for multiple parks within the West Region of the county, which includes a popular historic homestead, camping grounds, beachfront properties, hiking trails, trailheads, and river access points. Overseeing maintenance and general operations at parks, facilities and trails in assigned areas, including supervision and training of assigned full-time and temporary staff and volunteers.
Inspecting and ensuring facilities and grounds are in compliance with current standards and regulations and working with management to target key infrastructure upgrades and replacements.
Managing risk and public safety.
Helping develop and implement business plans to grow revenue for area of responsibility, including managing and promoting concessions and use.
Assisting and answering questions from the public, scheduling reservations, promoting interest and use of facilities and facilitating events and activities.
Cultivating effective partnerships with community groups, businesses, non-profits, and other organizations to augment operations and services.
Supervisor: Parks Operations Manager
Hours of Work: Exempt position, not subject to the overtime and compensatory time provisions of the Master Collective Bargaining Agreement. Works an open work week to provide best coverage for the needs of the department.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation or a related field, AND three years of progressively responsible experience in park operations, maintenance, and management INCLUDING one year of lead or supervisory experience.
Must have a driving record that meets County standards and possess a valid driver's license.
Must be eligible to cross between the United States and Canada.
Additional Salary Information: MCBA Range 180.0
Hiring Range: $27.20 - $29.34 / hour, depending on qualifications
Full salary range: $27.20 - $38.27 / hour
