The City of Carroll, Iowa, (Population 10,103) is seeking candidates for a Recreation Superintendent.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Seeking a highly motivated individual to plan, organize and implement successful programs for a 60,000 sq. ft. building and 11,250 sq. ft. outdoor aquatic facility, nine baseball/softball fields and many soccer fields. Must have effective communication skills; be able to implement and deliver high quality programs/services. Plans, markets/promotes, develops, and supervises the recreational and aquatic programs for all ages. The Recreation Superintendent will supervise three full-time staff, and many part-time and seasonal employees. Candidate must be Customer Service oriented, energized by working with large numbers of people/members, prepared to create and lead change and willing to work with the Management Team to achieve the established goals and benchmarks for the Carroll Recreation Center and all recreational and aquatic programs. FLSA exempt position. Salary hiring range $51,310 -$68,414. The Recreation Superintendent will be appointed by the Director of Parks and Recreation.
A degree in relevant academic field and four years relevant experience is preferred. CPO and American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificates within first twelve months of employment preferred.
