PRCS is seeking an Aquatics Supervisor to join our Recreation Division based at our Dulles South Recreation Center in South Riding, VA. If you enjoy aquatics, are able to foresee potential problems and have the specialty skills needed to solve them, then this could be the position you’ve been looking for. Reporting to the Aquatics Coordinator, top priorities for this position will include maintaining a constant watch on all natatorium activities, managing and supervising staff, and assisting with clerical and administrative duties.
In addition, this position will maintain daily/weekly chemical readings and levels to health code standards, perform pool equipment maintenance as needed, assist in the programming and evaluation of special events, programs, and activities, and manage Emergency Action Plans when activated.

Be aware there will be occasional maintenance/cleaning of pool area and/or bathrooms which may be required to meet standard cleaning procedures and universal precautions
Have exposure to chemicals such as chlorine, acids, and other cleaning supplies

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma plus two years job related experience. Membership in Virginia Recreation and Park Society. Water Safety Instructor (WSI) and Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) from NRPA or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) from NSPF. Successful candidates will undergo a criminal background, Child Protective Services (CPS) and DMV record checks. Certification in AED & Supplemental Oxygen Training required within 90 days of hire. Certification as Lifeguard Instructor required within 6 months of hire. Have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
