Illinois Institute of Technology is seeking applications for Compliance Coordinator and Student Activities position.
This is a 12-month hourly Non-Exempt position with benefits.
Coordinating, implementing and evaluating all facets of the compliance areas, including eligibility certification, and practice activities for all varsity teams Reviewing compliance documents to insure accuracy in all compliance areas; auditing and approving records, documenting practices, and competitions. Developing and implementing educational programs for coaches, student-athletes, university staff, and alumni concerning limitations, interpretations, and individual compliance responsibilities. Coordinating and managing student-athlete academic progress using NCAA, conference and other athletics web based systems to prepare, report, and monitor roster lists and records. Coordinates the athletic department budget including all purchasing procedures. Manages department transportation needs. Works with the student-worker force for staffing needs. Manages projects for organization and improvement of the athletic department and recreation facilities.
Illinois Tech is a member of NCAA Division III and has joined the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC).
The job reports to the Director of Athletics.
Evening, night and weekends on a limited basis.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) required. At least 1-3 years of experience in student interaction required, preferably with student/athletes. Knowledge of enrollment, admission, and financial aid processes a plus. Budgeting experience desired. Preference will be given to applicants with knowledge of NCAA and Title IX regulations and experience working in compliance at an NCAA Division III institution.
Microsoft package knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Good organizational skills. Banner knowledge and institutional purchasing knowledge. Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time essential. Customer service experience, especially with current and potential students, a must.
