Located on the beautiful north shore of Lake Tahoe, the Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID) provides recreation (beach/parks/tennis/recreation center/golf/ski) and utility (water/sewer/trash) services for Incline Village and Crystal Bay, Nevada.
Provide experienced and customer service focused supervision of parks staff engaged in maintaining buildings and grounds at the District's parks, beaches, athletic fields, undeveloped parklands and other facilities, and act as weekend Supervisor on duty.
High school diploma (GED) and three years’ experience in parks maintenance and equipment operation or closely related field, including one year of supervisory or lead experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work independently and deal with changing circumstances in a positive manner. Possess physical strength and stamina to lift and/or move 50 – 100 pounds. Good organizational, customer service, equipment operation and training skills. Basic carpentry, plumbing and computer skills (Word, Excel) for irrigation central control and automated time keeping systems. Deal courteously and efficiently with the public. Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals. Effectively communicate (in-person/written) with customers and employees. English/Spanish speaking skills preferred
Valid Driver's License and certified as National Recreation and Parks Association Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) or obtain within nine months. Certified in State of Nevada Restricted Pesticide Use categories D - Ornamental &Turf, F - Aquatic and G - Right of Way or obtain within ninety days and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) by American Red Cross, or obtain within one month. Work a flexible and varied schedule including weekends and holidays based on weather and business levels.
