Athletic Facilities Assistant University of Massachusetts Lowell Part-Time
The Athletic Facilities and Event Operations department oversees all areas of Game Management. Additionally this department oversees and supervises the use of the facilities listed below by external groups. The incumbent of this position would assist with the following tasks:
Assist in Event management of 17 Division I Sports
Ensure all America East Conference and NCAA guidelines are followed
Oversee part-time athletic operations and event staff
Manage scheduling calendars for events and practices
Supervisor/Liaison for external groups who utilize the facility for events, etc.
Setup and Teardown for home athletic contests
Preparation of the facility for external and internal events
Assist with tabulation of inventory and inventory control (equipment, computers, keys, etc.).
Report facility maintenance issues and facilitate necessary action/resolution
Assist in operation and control of Athletic Equipment Room
Regular Scheduled hours are 11am-7pm which will overlap on weekends as well
Other duties as assigned
Facilities Operations: The Athletic Facilities and Event Operations department currently oversees operations of the following athletic campus facilities:
Costello Athletic Center
Cushing Soccer/Lacrosse Field
Cushing Field Hockey and Track Complex
Riverview Softball Field and Mahoney Gymnasium
Edward A. LeLacheur Park
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Be interested in pursuing a career in Sports Administration or Collegiate Athletics
Have supervisory experience
Be highly motivated and self-sufficient
Be open and receptive to performing manual tasks related to Athletic Operations
Proficient computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite
Be able to work a minimum of 30-40 hours per week
Be able to work nights and weekends
Experience working effectively in diverse environments
Strong organizational skills
