The Director/Athletics & Recreation is responsible for the leadership and management of the College’s intercollegiate and recreation sport programs. This position includes the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of all student athletic and recreation programs, oversight of the recruitment and retention of student athletes as well as athletic-related recreation programs. Finally, this position is responsible for the oversight of maintenance and day-to-day operations of the athletic facilities.
Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field; Five to seven years of related work experience; Previous experience with facilities and athletic programming preferred; Previous experience with intercollegiate athletics preferred; PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA Criminal Record Check Clearance, and FBI Federal Criminal History Record Clearance at employee's expense; Basic employment verification, national criminal database search and five panel drug screen at College's expense. Must have a valid driver's license. Prior work performance must have met or exceeded appropriate work standards. Ability to perform the essential responsibilities/functions of this position.
About Westmoreland County Community College
Westmoreland County Community College was founded 1970. The College is located in Youngwood, PA, approximately 6 miles south of Greensburg, off Route 119. The College has approximately 5,517 full-and part-time students and offers 65 associate degree, 20 diploma, and 78 certificate programs with options that prepare students for careers or transfer to baccalaureate degree programs at four-year institutions.
