As a member of the Recreation Division, the incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting in promoting and overseeing a variety of preschool, youth and/or young adult activities and classes.
Work hours will vary with each depending on morning and afternoon shifts, approximately 30 - 35 hours per week, not to exceed 40 hours per week. This temporary employment will not exceed six months in length (or 1,040 hours, whichever comes first). This is strictly temporary (“at will”) employment which may be terminated at any time and does not lead to regular full-time employment.
The Town of Windsor Summer Camp is licensed through the State of Colorado’s Department of Human Services; Division of Child Care, School-Age Child Care Centers.
Hours: M-F ranging from 7am to 6pm, approximately 8 hours a day. Schedule is subject to change.
• High school diploma or equivalent • Must be at least 18 years of age • Previous experience working with participants with or without disabilities preferred • Previous experience working with a diverse population in a volunteer or past employment capacity preferred • Any equivalent combination of training and experience the provides evidence that the applicant possesses the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES • A valid Colorado driver's license that meets the Town of Windsor’s standards; ability to maintain throughout employment with the town • Per State of Colorado License Requirements: Must have current certifications in the following, or ability to obtain prior to working with school aged children: o CPR/AED/First Aide o Medication Administration o FEMA 7.701.8 o Standard Precautions o Mandatory Child Abuse Reporter
