The Assistant Athletic Director - Compliance is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and review of the institution’s compliance program. The Assistant Athletic Director - Compliance is also responsible for the daily operation of the compliance program including student-athlete eligibility, NCAA legislative interpretations, rules education, and monitoring of all compliance areas.
In addition to the duties of the Compliance Officer, the position also includes representing the Athletic Department on various campus-wide committees including assessment, retention and student information systems. Other committee/representation assignments are at the direction of the Director of Athletics.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: •Office work and a significant amount of event/meeting planning and coordination. •Frequent evening and weekend hours. •Occasional travel may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Master’s degree in Higher Education, Sport/Athletic Management, Physical Education, Recreation, or appropriate related field preferred. • One year experience in NCAA compliance. • Knowledge and understanding of NCAA compliance regulations. • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff and the public. • Excellent organizational skills.
