We have an immediate opening for a Camp Specialist located in Ashburn, VA. The Summer Camp program, designed for elementary and middle school ages, provides age appropriate activities and challenges to stimulate creative minds and build healthy bodies. As a Camp Specialist you will assist with design, development and implementation of a high quality summer camp program. With a customer service focus, utilize your management and supervisory skills to assist in recruiting, hiring, training, oversight and evaluation of staff to ensure program standards are maintained. Your strong organizational skills are needed to oversee staff and participant files and records, oversee program registration and fee payments, ensure programs are in compliance with Virginia licensing requirements and perform administrative tasks as needed. Creativity and marketing talents will be utilized to publicize programs to ensure enrollment. Work schedule is somewhat flexible with work hours falling between 6:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for a total of 37.5 hours per week. Hiring Range: $34,206-$49,202 DOQ. Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in recreation, child care, education or related field including program planning and administration coursework. Valid driver’s license required. Certification in First Aid, CPR for adult, infant and child, and a negative TB test required prior to beginning work. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Virginia State licensing requires additional experience supervising children during recreational or educational activities and must be at least 21 years of age. Criminal background, credit, Child Protective Services, and DMV checks required.
