We have immediate openings for Program Managers at several locations including Claude Moore Community Centers and our Dulles South Multipurpose Center.
Claude Moore Community Center, located within Claude Moore Park and attached to Claude Moore Recreation Center, offers a variety of programs and special events for community members of all ages and is located in Sterling, VA. Dulles South Multipurpose Center, which is currently undergoing renovations to add a state of the art Recreation Center and Senior Center, offers programs and activities for all ages, conveniently located in South Riding. Both Program Managers will oversee planning and implementation of classes, special events and evaluates programs to serve a culturally and economically diverse population. Programs include a large revenue based class program for all age groups: adventure, sports, fine and performing arts, after school programs, summer camps, contractual classes, Pre-School and local and regional special events. Your supervisory skills will be utilized as you oversee full-time, part-time, and temporary staff to cover a 7-day week operation and to coordinate and manage the community use of the facility for meetings and community events. You will oversee program operations to ensure customer safety and satisfaction for all program areas which includes: gymnasium, program rooms, offices, and playground. With strong communication skills and a customer service focus, you will assess community interests and recreational trends for program expansion and provide leadership to ensure the center's goals are consistent with overall County priorities and objectives. Your attention to detail will allow you to effectively utilize and manage automated systems, prepare and analyze various reports, ensure accurate timesheets and payroll, as well as other financial transactions such as managing the program budget and daily cash receipt reconciliations. Your marketing skills are needed to develop and manage the center marketing plan and oversee the development of marketing materials to promote programs. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of current early childhood licensing standards, and demonstrate a proven track record in successful staff development and program management.
