Direct, supervise, and promote a comprehensive municipal recreation program while establishing and maintaining effective relationships with user groups, employees, and department management.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in community recreation, physical education, public or business administration, or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible management experience in a parks and recreation department; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.
National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) designation is desirable.
