Responsible for overseeing the implementation of the District's five-year strategic plan and takes the lead in developing outreach to private and voluntary organizations, groups, and members of the community to foster and encourage their support of and participation in Park District activities.
Prepares and distributes agenda prior to Board Meetings and serves as Secretary; maintaining clear and accurate minutes of Board meetings.
Performs a variety of administrative functions to ensure efficient operation of the department; formulates/recommends implements and administers new and revised policies and procedure; prepares reports and presentations. Will see that records as may be usual and necessary for the operation of the district are maintained.
Serves as financial officer and is responsible for developing and implementing the District's annual budget and such additional financial reports and documents as may be necessary for the orderly and effective implementation of the District's operation. Prepares and distributes accurate and timely financial reports.
Ensures work assignments are complete, provides training and evaluates employee performance; receives and resolves employee issues according to established guidelines; approves timesheets and leave request issues corrective action as necessary. In coordination with the Licking Park District Commissioners, interviews and hires candidates for employment. Actively involved in employee and/or labor relations.
Attends or conducts meetings with public officials, private industry and general public; speaks on program and policy matters.

Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in Natural Resources, Park/Recreation Administration or a closely related field; and a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years related experience with a minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
