The City of Beverly Hills is seeking a Recreation Services Manager with a wide range of recreation & parks program management experience and a proven track record of success. The Recreation Services Manager will oversee various aspects of the City's Art & Cultural Event programs, including: film/special events at City's Community Parks (e.g.: Greystone Mansion, Beverly Garden), Farmers' Market, Friends of Greystone, and Public Art programs. The incumbent will also serve as the liaison to the Fine Art Commission, and oversee various aspects of community relations, facility management, and capital improvement planning projects. The Recreation Services Manager is a management level position and will report directly to the Assistant Director of Community Services.
Ideal Candidate: The most competitive candidates will have a wide range of recreation management experience within the public sector, including experience in full-service Cities. The successful candidate will have a wide range of expertise in community program operations, and will have the depth and breadth of experience necessary to manage functional recreation services and various program areas including project and contract management, and community building and partnerships. Additionally, the successful candidate will be experienced and comfortable speaking in front of groups and making oral presentations as a representative of the department. The Recreation Services Manager will also work collaboratively as part of the Community Services department management team.
