As a member of the Parks, Recreation & Culture team, incumbents in this position will perform all aspects of events for the Town of Windsor and its partners and has broad authority to assure events are successful from pre-event work to post-event. The Event Supervisor works closely with the Recreation Supervisor, outside event coordinators, contractors, vendors and attendees. Considerable professional judgment and decision making skills are required. The Event Supervisor assists with the pre-planning and operation of events that occur within the Town of Windsor. With the Recreation Supervisor, the Event Supervisor consults with planner/event coordinators and guides them through the planning process in order to ensure a successful event. Once the event is on-site, the Event Supervisor oversees the safety and security of guests and preservation of the facilities, overall event operation and promotes the highest guest services standards,
Most positions work Monday through Friday, which may also require weekend and evening hours on a regular or occasional basis. This temporary employment may be scheduled through the year on a full-time basis depending on the needs of the town, but will not exceed six months in length (or 1,040 hours, whichever comes first). This is strictly temporary (“at will”) employment which may be terminated at any time and does not lead to regular full-time employment.
Pay Range: $11.60 to $11.94

High school diploma or GED
Must be age 18 or older
Bachelor’s degree, recent graduate or currently pursuing one in a related field (event management, recreation, tourism, marketing, etc.) preferred
Minimum of one (1) year of event management or coordination experience preferred
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
A valid Colorado Driver's License that meets the Town of Windsor’s standards
Current CPR and 1st Aide certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
