As a member of the Parks, Recreation and Culture team, incumbents in this seasonal position perform routine maintenance work, which involves a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks and manual labor in support of the maintenance of athletic fields, parks, rights-of-way, open space properties, facilities and other town sites. Seasonal operations are performed mainly outdoors and/or at municipal buildings, parks or other town sites or properties.
Most positions work Monday through Friday, which may also require weekend and evening hours on a regular or occasional basis. This temporary employment may be scheduled through the year on a full-time basis depending on the needs of the town, but will not exceed six months in length (or 1,040 hours, whichever comes first). This is strictly temporary (“at will”) employment which may be terminated at any time and does not lead to permanent, regular full-time employment.
