Two-time WINNER of the NRPA Gold Medal Award Grand Prairie Parks, Arts and Recreation Department is looking for innovative and passionate recreation professionals for the Special Events Supervisor position.
The purpose of this position is to responsible for the planning, coordination, sponsorships, and operation of Prairie Lights, Grand Prairies 38 day holiday light show. This will include communication and coordination with other City departments to ensure a smooth event production. High emphasis on retaining current sponsors and securing new sponsors to help Prairie Lights remain financially viable. Support duties will include assisting Special Events Manager in planning, coordination, sponsorships, and operations of other various special events throughout the year.

Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature which may be obtained with a two year associate's degree, diploma or equivalent from a college, technical, business, vocational, or correspondence school. Appropriate certification may be awarded upon satisfactory completion of advanced study or training.
Over two years up to and including three years of experience promoting, implementing & organizing special events.
Valid Texas Class C Driver's License, Prefer Food Handler's License, TABC
