The Northern Columbia Community & Cultural Center is seeking a dynamic cause driven leader to direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of our full service community center in Benton, PA. The facility has a budget of approximately $350,000, employing approximately 15 staff with a growing membership base. The 19,500 sq. ft. facility in Benton has provided individuals and families of Northern Columbia County, and four surrounding counties, a place to gather as a united community to participate in sports, activities, social services and family programs. The incumbent must be a team motivator with the ability to create an environment that delivers exceptional customer service to grow membership and program participation. Under the direction of the N4Cs Board of Directors, the Executive Director will direct and supervise all aspects of the family center operations, including annual fundraising campaigns and all grant writing activities.
This Executive Director will be an example of N4Cs community mission and will demonstrate them through programs and service offerings within a close-knit community. S/he must have political savvy to work effectively in several unique partnerships N4Cs has with the United Way of Columbia County, local school districts, local and county government and private business and foundations.
Candidates will be challenged to provide a successful track record in fiscal management including the growth of revenue dollars, the execution of innovative programs, and membership services. S/he will be responsible for recruiting key community leaders and board members; create and implement a well-conceived development/fund raising plan to achieve short term and long term objectives, and will lead the initiative by marshaling the resources of the board, soliciting private donations (individuals, corporations and foundations), and conducting financially successful events. Furthermore this individual will be responsible for spearheading new initiatives in fundraising, community partnerships and programming growth. The incumbent must have excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead the initiative as well as inspire others by cultivating relationships with high level donors.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; field of Business, Management, Parks & Recreation or similarly related fields preferred.
Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in operations management in health and wellness is essential; Non-profit experience strongly preferred.
Microsoft Office proficiency required; ActiveNET experience a plus.
Prior experience overseeing successful fund-raising and capital campaign plans a plus.
A proven track record of successful grant writing strongly preferred.
