Two Positions available
Position 1: manages Delaware State Parks Office of Business Services responsible for the establishment and implementation of multiple and diverse revenue generating services and programs. This includes administration of the Division's entrance fee and permit sales, campground reservations, point of sale, ticketing, 19 concessionaires, contracts and leases and the retail sales program. Delaware State Parks goal is to develop innovative solutions to most efficiently deliver our products and services to park customers. Delaware State Parks was awarded the Gold Medal Award in 2015/2016 for the best managed state park system in the country. 3
Position 2: is responsible for the Central Office administration of the natural and cultural resource sections, and statewide duties. Responsibilities include natural and cultural resource management planning, managing park housing program, statewide equipment and vehicles, and supervising the Chief of Cultural Resources, Natural Heritage Program Manager, and the State Park Arborist.
Six months experience in natural resources, park or recreation program administration such as overseeing and directing the development, implementation and evaluation of natural resources, park or recreation programs and services; establishes program objectives; plans short and long range program goals; develops and implements program policies and procedures and ensures compliance and funding requirements. Provides advice to other agency organizational units through consultation.
Six months experience in financial administration such as comprehensive analysis of programs, budgets, projects, services, alternatives, and costs; financial planning, revenue generation, revenue forecasting, expenditure forecasting, cash flow management and establishing internal control.
Six months experience in operations management which includes planning, directing, coordinating, controlling and evaluating operations typically through subordinate supervisors.

The Division of Parks and Recreation operates and maintains 14 state parks and related preserves and greenways throughout Delaware totaling more than 25,000 acres. The state's land protection programs, as well as the state's Greenways program, are administered by... the Division. The Division is also responsible for providing recreational opportunities and educational and interpretive programs for the public.
