The Greater Toledo Pool Recreation District is recruiting for its very first District Manager. This executive director level position will be responsible for the day to day operation of the District, including development and implementation of a wide variety of policies, procedures, and business practices to assure that the district and pool are operated in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The District Manager will supervise all pool leadership staff assuring that the pool is safely operated, well maintained, and programmed to meet the needs and desires of local patrons. The District Manager will report directly to the District’s Board of Directors. The ability to develop and manage budgets, personnel, improvement projects, and local partnerships is a must. The District Manager will need to have strong communication skills, be self-motivated, collaborative, personable, and team oriented. Greater Toledo Pool Recreation District was formed by residents of the Toledo area through passage of Measure 21-179 on the May 19, 2017 election. The primary purpose of the District is to take ownership and operation of the City’s public pool. Voters also approved a permanent property tax rate of 77 cents per $1,000 assessed value which will generate approximately $375,000 annually to support ope...ration and maintenance of the pool. Additionally, voters elected a five-member Board of Directors who are responsible for the overall operation of the pool through the hiring of a District Manager. The District will serve approximately 5,000 residents within the greater Toledo area.
