This position performs highly responsible managerial, administrative and professional work providing assistance to the Director of Parks and Facilities in planning, organizing and directing a comprehensive parks and facilities program and service delivery system. The employee work with considerable independent judgment in planning and designing new projects and programs, interpreting rules and procedures, developing budgetary controls and recommendations, and in formulating operational recommendations to the Director. Work is subject to review through conferences and written reports for attainment of desired management objectives and conformity with established policies and procedures. This position assists with daily operations and directly daily administrative duties within the department.
Bachelor's degree in Park Management, Recreation Administration, Natural Resource Management, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Management or a related field
Four or more years of supervisory experience is required.
