Camp High Hopes, for children and adults with disabilities, seeks a full-time Assistant Program Director to support our growing camp and campers. Ideal candidate will hold a Bachelors in Therapeutic Recreation & current CTRS certificate with 1yr as practicing CTRS and experience in a camp setting. Prior supervisory experience beneficial. Assistant Program Director aids the Program Director in the development and delivery of seasonal camp sessions, activities, and staff training. Assistant Program Director is responsible for supervising TR interns and seasonal staff along with managing weekend respites in the Fall and Spring. This includes developing season schedule; reviewing and assessing camper registrations, and planning weekend sessions. During summer months, APD works closely with Program Director and Operations Director execution of summer camp sessions with responsibility of managing evening hours and programs. Prior experience with adaptive recreation, personal care, and behavior management for people with disabilities is required. APD schedule varies with weekday, weekend, evening, and overnight/on-call work expected. Salary DOE with range of $25,000-$29,000 plus benefits.
