Under the direction of the Parks and Recreation Management Specialist - Facilities, serves as the manager of a large recreation center comprised of diverse recreational offerings. Plans and directs the overall operation, personnel, services and maintenance of the center. Completes administrative, financial, and planning duties related to the management of the recreation center, including oversight of all business processes and transactions. Develops short and long term goals, operating objectives, strategies and implementation plans. Performs other tasks related to effective management of the recreation center.
- Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Park and Recreation Management, Public Administration, Business Management or related field.
(Work experience may substitute for the required education as follows: High school diploma and 8 years of related work experience or Associate's degree and 5 years of related work experience. Where substitution is accepted, applicant must demonstrate increased knowledge-base and progressively more challenging work assignments.)
- Requires at least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in the Parks and Recreation or related field; - Supervisory experience required.

- Prefer one (1) year or more years of experience in recreation administration in a medium to large recreation facility.

Additional Salary Information: The starting hiring range is $44,428.80 to $53,000 annually.
