The City of Valdez is accepting applications for a Recreation Coordinator- Aquatic Facility Manager in the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department. This is a Part-time Regular position (33.75hrs/wk).
Duties include but are not limited to:
Developing and overseeing daily operation and activities of the Aquatic facility
Supervising and training staff
Planning and implementing programs and special events at the Aquatic facility
Qualified applicants must have:
A Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, or related field
Two (2) years Parks and Recreation program experience or related public sector program management experience
or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess an understanding of the role of OSHA, ADA and DEC in the area of recreation.
Must obtain and maintain CPR First Responder, First Aid, Lifeguard and Lifeguard Instructor Certifications
Must obtain and maintain Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification.
