The City of Lincoln City is currently recruiting for a Parks and Recreation Director to manage, direct and coordinate the activities of the Parks and Recreation Department which includes over 365 acres of Open Space, 40 acres of Park Space and a Community Center which includes a 25-meter swimming pool with enclosed water slide, diving boards and rope swing; a warm water instructional pool with water features; and a 12-person hot tub. The center also has a weight room, cardio room, full size gymnasium with basketball court, indoor walking/running track, senior center and a 24-foot supervised indoor rock climbing wall. Successful candidates must have the equivalent of a four-year college degree in Parks and Recreation Administration, Recreation Resource management, or Business/Public Administration, or related field and eight years related experience. Desirable qualifications will include a Master’s Degree in Parks and Recreation Management and experience working for a Municipal Government.
