This position reports directly to the Assistant Town Manager. The department holds 41 full-time equivalent positions with an annual budget of $4.4 million. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a management professional with energy, vision and commitment. You'll play a vital role in working with Town leadership to continue to build Marana and the Parks and Recreation Team to serve the community. The opportunities are endless and innovation is encouraged. Interactions with the community, Town leadership and employee at all levels of the organization to develop, enhance and launch programs to serve community needs are all part of the mission.
Depending on qualifications and experience, the position offers a negotiable hiring range of $91,382 to $109,000. The salary range is $91,382 to $141,643. The Town has a full and competitive benefit program.
This position will remain open until filled; however we will conduct a first review of applications on July 31, 2017. Preliminary interviews will be conducted shortly after with the most ideal candidates. The Town will invite a short list of candidates for further assessment in late August. Post interview finalists will undergo reference checks, background checks and academic verifications provided candidates have given their permission.
